Is it still called hot chocolate if you have to eat it with a spoon? Ok, so we went a little overboard getting ready for National Hot Chocolate Day on Friday, January 31st. Try this recipe and you’ll understand why! 🤤

Ingredients:

7 oz dark chocolate, broken into chunks
½ cup cocoa powder, sifted
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
2 cups whole milk

Method:

1️⃣ Mix ½ cup of milk with cornstarch in a small bowl.
2️⃣ Combine cocoa powder and sugar in another bowl.
3️⃣ Heat the remaining milk in a pan until just below boiling, then lower the heat.
4️⃣ Whisk in the cornstarch mixture, followed by the cocoa-sugar mix.
5️⃣ Stir in the chocolate chunks until melted.
6️⃣ Serve hot, topped with Gifford’s ice cream and chocolate shavings.
